Any body got a td5 engine spare, or recommend a supplier of one in Scotland.

Whats failed on yours ,as they nearly indestructable ,
if its head , put a new one on and do injectors ,loom , etc ,not cheapest option but then you know ,
did one last year , its done 305 000 ,and on stage 2 map ,

It went to hot and boiled at speed, been advised to much could be to replace internally not worth it better with replacement. Head already done twice, compression very poor. But open to advice

M57 that is. Very strong.

N57 has rear mounted chain, they'll do 150k+ on the original chain if looked after.

The 3cyl n37 & 4cyl n47 stretch their chains for fun due to the firing pulses harmonics / snatch on it

What drivetrain?

M57 onto a standard 6 speed Land Rover it’s a 2012 110 defender. Old engine lasted till 180k so did ok really. Been a fair job to get it running. Buts going and goes like a rocket. Brother can’t wait to get a full load o sheep on the back see what she can do
