20p for feed plus 5p for labour fuel and everthing else at least

I agree although I didn’t know feed was that expensive!

25p a dozen as a minimum and all our packer says is ‘we keep telling the retailers the price needs to go up but they aren’t paying as yet’

Producers need to organise and all of us crush the eggs for a week.

All getting very serious. Currently paying £480 for organic layer 1. Due a price rise of £35 tonne minimum 1st of April! So looking at a minimum of £65 tonne increase since 31st December. Beyond June there is no guarantee of supply. Egg price increase? Big fat zero. Eggs due to be set for next flock which may well cost me £7 + per bird. Supermarkets need a a message sending that involves NO eggs on there shelves as that is the only thing they will understand!
