Legume companions and nematodes

My plan going forward is to use a 3yr cropping rotation of Winter wheat with companion, winter barley with companion, NUM3 or AHL1 as break crop.

Volunteer beans in the wheats have shown to have a good effect so I’ll stick with that but what should I use with the barley, do I need to consider nematode risk from the companions? Are they at too low a seed rate to cause concern? Will the fact that the cereal companion won’t be left beyond spring reduce or negate the risk? Do different legumes build up different nematodes in the soil? Will beans affect clover for example? Everything will be direct drilled with as much biomass retained as possible or at worse (best) turned in to sheep 💩

Any thoughts or knowledge on the subject would be much appreciated!

Will you be "companion" cropping or "multi species winter cover" - SAM2?

When is your scheme start date? If spring, won't be able to have paid "companion" with your ww

You’ve not read the guidance then?

All aims have 12 months from start date to be achieved
I've read the guidance.
IF your scheme starts in the spring (maybe yours doesn't), your spring sown ahl1 - followed by ww - would be in the same scheme year as your paid "companion" crop in your wheat

My scheme will start in spring but I’ll have 2x 33% of land in SAM2 and 1x 33% of land in AHL1 in each year
