Tomorrow, October the 1st, is Lincolnshire Day. A County that once had a Chicken,a Pig,a Sheep and of course The Lincoln Red Cattle named after it. @yellowbelly . The Lincolnshire Buff Chicken was resurrected in the 80's by the Local Agricultural college. The Lincolnshire Curly Coat Pig sadly has gone, but the Magerlitzer is very similar. The Lincoln Longwool sheep still exists and some wonderful churches on the Heath below Lincoln were built on the profits made from it's wool. And I make no apology for the cherry red cattle from the County!!

Only them that were born 'down the marsh' - those of us off, what to some we laughingly call higher ground, are almost normal.

I'd no idea we had such a thing, still, it's only fitting that we celebrate God's own county - I'll look out the Cross of St. George and run it up the mast in the morning 1569872896942.png...........can't be doing with that new fangled one they dreamt up a few years ago (looks like some African Republic, IMHO)
