Linking holdings

Not sure
What happens these days about linking holdings? Last thing I want is cattle with more movements than necessary on their passports as I have had buyers reject them in the past because of it.

If it’s within 10 mile you can usually have temporary holdings put on your main holding for grazing periods etc so long as no other stock go on them too.

Just have a TLA, a Temporary Land Association and no problem at all as you will be in the same TB status area. No restriction on distance and you just have to put the field numbers on the form.

You can have other stock on the same holding, just not in the same field/she'd as the TLA.
I had a sudden panic last week, I rent one field of a massive estate (bps probably 700k) who had a rpa inspection, i link the one field to mine with a tla and panicked that this was wrong as they have 4000 sheep as well, but all fine in the end. 😅

There is still a requirement to have a record of movements between TLA holdings. As long as numbers are accurate there should be no problem, There is a 364 day renewal.Im not sure that aTLA would be entirely correct on a fbt.Our vet still records as rwo separate holdings at tb testing.

We have a temporary holding number of our own on a dairy farm locally so if any reports of an issue with the sheep it will come back to us.
With this do we still have to abide by the standstill as it's on the same farm but with a different holding no? cattle are all houses and obviously not mixing with sheep on the keep grazing.
Sounds like a TLA would be best but that's what was advised to us years ago, we always respect the standstill but wondered if we actually need to?
