Littering in the countryside

Fair play to this guy, I’m sure someone on here would know him.

Shame he didn’t put all the McDonald’s/Burger King/KFC/Costa/Greggs stuff seperate and take it in and tip it all over the counter of the local restaurant.

Think that’s the only way big fastfood retailers will be made to listen over recyclable or traceable packaging if they have to close whilst they clean the counter.

Maybe we could start a viral trend, who can empty the biggest pile of takeaway rubbish in the offending store.

Tbf it’s not the stores fault it’s the clowns that throw it out the window . And that is the problem with society . What makes people think it’s ok to throw rubbish out the window ???????
The trouble is that, for some, having watched their parents doing it all their life they know no better.
Educating children, who will then hopefully nag their parents, seems a good start.

Spot on. Second and third generation of people prepared to keep the inside of their shiny car tidy by lobbing their crap out of the window. A few years back my wife had the remains of a fish and chip takeaway land on her windscreen thrown by a slag with kids in the rear of her car. My wife had to stop.

I will never forget the time we were sitting in a McDonald’s, it was the one near Duxford. Our table had a view of the car park where there was a car facing the “restaurant” which contained two girls, we couldn’t believe our eyes when the drivers window opened and the debris from their meal came tumbling out onto the ground and off they drove.

I came across the article on this fb page which majority of the time is quite funny but annoyed me that they are taking the mick out of someone like that but it just shows how little people actually care and you only need 1/20 people with that attitude to mean this litter issue will only ever get worse.

Going down the A9 last year approx 30 miles south of Inverness I needed a pee so pulled into a lay-by that had trees & bushes beside it. The land sloped steeply down hill from the lay-by and was absolutely disgusting the sheer volume of not just litter but household waste. TVs, mattress. Unbelievable. None of which was visible from the road or lay-by

I saw a 3 piece suite in a lay-by on a9 just before Christmas

Our lane has become worse in recent time, I blame delivery drivers, in fact i know a lot of them litter in the lanes, We must average 2 day coming up a no through road with 7 properties.
Had a classic on friday ,been renewing fence ,on farm entrance ,got vets and dentist ,in converted stables ,
dpd delivery van comes down drive opens window and empties ,a load of crap ,sandwich wrapper and a bottle and couple sweet wrappers , did not see me stood behind tree ,nailing rails up on fence ,
hollows at him ,pick your f**king crap up you scruffy pansy ,and threw claw hammer at his van , stampsmon brakes and ,looks where the vocabulary came from , and hammer , made him pick up crap ,and rung dpd up and asked him to be banned from coming ,
and we must be just about right distance from mc d for them to eat it on the move m,s as get stuff thrown out down lane ,
i did comment on here ,about a pizza delivery driver who used to park in layby ,near yard , he emptied his car of crap ,but stupid twit put out all his delivery tickets , and had pizza place name on , took some pictures and put it on their face book page , litter was gone same day
we also have 7 car wheels and tyres , a nice pile of top soil , a pile of decking on old road ,and another pile of tyres ,
just keep putting a few on road side so council pick them up ,and last back end had two ten trailers of conifer out of another gate way one day

I have a farm slug living a mile away. He is over filling his trailer with fresh manure and running at speed up and down the road for 2 mile without the back on the trailer. Just been in lockdown for TB, but still carting his sh!t off the farm. Arsehole farmer.

I had a weird one Friday. Drove down the driveway to find a fridge dumped just inside my gate. About normal really given the amount of fly tipping that goes on. On my way back in later with an empty trailer I loaded it on, plus the Tassimo coffee maker that was laying beside it. The fridge looked suspiciously new, and spotlessly clean inside. So put it in the shed upright to let the refrigerant settle (rightly or wrongly I've always tried to keep a fridge upright when moving it and if its been on its side for any period of time leave it upright for 24 hours before plugging it in. Someone once told me it was better for them :scratchhead:) and the next day plugged it in. Motor fired up immediately, and the pot of water I placed in the freezer box was frozen a few hours later. So looks like I've acquired a working fridge. Only the under work top type, but hey, better than the normal pile of rubbish! In fact I think its tidier than the fridge I have :wideyed:

I then turned my attention to the coffee maker. It too looked complete and in good condition, so placed it by the wood burner over night to make sure it was dried out, and plugged it it. All the lights lit up, and after a bit of research on Youtube found a video of a bloke demonstrating the exact model. This time not quite so lucky, a light is on suggesting it needs to go through its cleaning cycle and to do that it needs a special barcoded insert. I've ordered one off ebay for £5 and I shall see if I can make it work, I quite like a hot chocolate! The same model is on Argos for £60.

Such are the vagaries of life on the urban fringe..........
