what about the people in the posh houses who dump their rubbish, grass cuttings, garden waste either across the road from them on the verge, hedge of a field, or in their back gardens into my fields? its so sad, how the country has declined in so many ways, yes we are all more prosperous well feed, some more then others ? but our moral,s behavior, how we conduct ourselves in public etc has so so declined ?
To be fair, thinking back, not a lot was packaged. Everything was loose and ladled into brown paper bags. I can still remember two old brothers who kept a grocers shop. You wanted some porridge? It would be, How much sir? Then the old boy would go to a wooden chest, open it up and ladle the required amount into a brown paper bag on the scales. The top then had the top neatly folded closed and the whole parcel tied up with string! All biodegradable! 1970s? Same thing for biscuits, bread, etc. Packaging was quite a novelty when it arrived and quite a selling feature. Yes, we did throw litter out of the car window, but it disappeared and I think I know why now, looking back!
