Livestock cameras, have I missed something ?

I have two livestock eye cameras which work ok, that cost at the time around £225.
looking at what is available for “ domestic “ applications these days, you can get something that seems very similar for either side of £50. The only difference in spec I could see was it’s difficult to find one that can run of a 12 v battery, other than that they seem to have the same capability.
What do others think ?
I know @choochter put something similar on another thread.

I have 2 'domestic' wireless CCTV cameras , like you, just to see what they upto., sometimes image bit pixely but put that down to poor signal/ WiFi.
So really does the job what intend. They are solar powered, good length of lead from solar panel to camera, works a treat. Actually just Friday night , it came To me that one was still rigged up in an empty yard, not bothered with it for months. Logged into it and it's still alive. So thinking of getting another actually, as got some cows in yard further up.
Problem for me is that the yard will not pick up my WiFi from house so I'm in middle of totting up pros / cons of which WiFi / router extender to get.

Couple of questions if anyone knows:
Any easy methods of getting the images on a tv in the kitchen? Amazon fire stick I guess would be the answer.

do the camera systems upload to the internet before you view them or is it only viewed within your own network? Our upload speed isn’t fast enough for a ring doorbell.

thanks

Will let you know how it goes when I've got it working. This particular camera is SIM only

Dont bother with the faff of a router or needing line of sight.
Each of mine has its own SIM card, £6 a month from giffgaff

I'll let you know how this one goes once I get it set up, which is easy as they all come with a QR code attached

You have to make sure its outdoor rated and with a good distance for night vision 20-30m

For people with a 4G SIM card camera how data hungry are the cameras if just using them on a night?
ie how long would £10 pay as you go data last
I get 4 hours for £12 a month which doesn’t sound a lot of time but I’ve never used it all and it’s not like you sit watching it all night. Unless you have a fit night lamber! Just a quick scan then turn off.

Yes that’s what I was thinking, Quick Look round and back off….does your camera zoom in and out?
