Uc3 are treated once and don't last,uc4 are treated twice with the same stuff that doesn't work anyway. We had some treated larch stakes 12 years ago and they're still perfect but supply was sketchy.A couple of local firms selling them now again

Yeah we’re looking at using either larch or chestnut, who are you using to supply/ who are the suppliers? We’re after some and if we are happy with them we’re looking at getting an artic load any recommendations would be great

I think they come from Aberystwyth area. DG Jones Agri 01591610278 would be our closest retailer.

Put in 500 meters of chestnut posts and was going to start notching in the struts today but see that the spec has to be mortised not just nailed. We normally notch the struts and the strainer and then nail, is this not acceptable? Also... This running staple spec? How the heck does one get the sheep netting fixed to the intermediate posts without the staples holding the netting to the posts.. ahhhhh. Any help/advice/ medication... ? Thanks. Bob

That's not one I've heard complaints about before and I mortice so it won't affect me.

All I can say is they're being militant about keeping to the spec on some things, even when it's stupid or they've deemed only incorrect when it's not..
