Hi folks.
Currently run a 3185 fastrac, which I bought when started contracting. With now getting more and more work, I think it’s time to look at getting something new/newer.
comfort is a big thing for me after breaking my spine a few years ago.
mostly the work done is road work which is where the fastrac has always been a bonus.
any thoughts on what to look at?
Thanks

Don't they have JCBs own power sh!t gearbox?

Been advised to avoid them at all costs.

I'd be buying a 3230 with Eaton gearbox. Must be getting quite rare now.
The xtra gearbox are ok providing me looked after properly so I am told.
Yes tidy late 3230 manual is rare find now

Power command be more reliable.

Was Harvey Milne's told me to avoid them at all costs. He said he'd never buy one to sell on, but pretty sure I've seen him advertising them since!
After going to view a tractor he had for sale a few years back,I wouldn’t believe a word he said,I won’t be rushing to deal with him.👎

I bought our 2170, off him and hold him in very high regard.

He helped me fix things by explaining it over phone, sent parts years after. I'd class him as a friend, he'd be welcome in our house anytime.

He must know a thing or 2 about them, most Fastrac trade ins, in the UK would go through him.

He must have over a hundred fastcraps in the yard, only a handful fit to sell though.

I drove 2.5hrs to see a £75k tractor that wouldn't start,I wasn't impressed. (n)

I have no experience running a fastrac but they have to still be the most comfortable thing you will drive, for your injuries it would be hard to consider much else.

Claas in a conventional tractor frame probably the next best, closely followed by a R spec JD, I’ll probably be shot down in flames for the last suggestion but as a passenger in one I found it well damped without being wallowing.

Good luck.
