Been at the same job today. Did the lot at 0.5lLt/ha.
Amazing amount of soft growth since the T1/weed control went on a week ago.
Total opposite of last year

Yes but later you leave it more harm it doesWhats the latest Terpal can go on, my recollection is awn emergence but not ear showing?

0.5 on flag leaf is less stressful to plant, you’ll scorch awns late and practically stop head in leaf sheath
Cheers just hope I can keep it standing. Flat stuff is no use.Impressive!
Has yours had any other growth reg.Been at the same job today. Did the lot at 0.5lLt/ha.

What a difference to last year!
Has yours had any other growth reg.
Made a start on mine today but wondering if in hind sight an earlier 3c and moddus pass , would have been better than single 0.5 cerone now
Mines to get axial in places so hopefully not too hot
25mm! Only 3.5mm here. Stuff keeping going but still very dry at any depthTalking of lush growth, my wheat is as tall as I’ve seen it this year, and I’ve noticed some down this afternoon, after today’s 25mm.
A neighbour has a field of OSR that’s pretty flat as well. I’ve cut back on fertiliser and this particular field has had more growth reg.
not what we want this early.
That was kinda what I was getting at . Cerone at 0.5 is a full rate dose . Moddus or 3c early and then possibly 0.25 cerone later would be far kinder imo and should build up regulation in stages rather than a all in one hit .Do people still use Terpal and Cerone? We used to use it until we discovered Moddus. I'm no cropping expert being a humble dairy farmer but there's no comparison in my mind; a well time application of Moddus does a far better job of keeping a crop standing than Terpal or Cerone.

I find adama Optimus a lot kinder on crops, modus is harshYes - you can react to a lush crop later on. If it looks like a jungle early on then I'll use early PGRs like Moddus and/or chlormequat. A sequence isn't a bad thing if you know your risk is high. Moddus can be quite harsh on a crop too.
