We've got one the trailed 12m there are a few in West Wales. It's a good machine no real problems the cast under the rotors that the wheels are on can break but apparently this is designed to happen as a safety thing like a shear bolt. We also had a problem with one of the pressure relief valves not being set right but this was sorted.

ohh i had a lely lotus 770 6 rotor i loved her the tines where a great joob the straight tine tends to lump it more and it is easier to pull dirt in lely are still the most popular breed of machine around hear

Why not just buy a lely. Theyv always been the best

When I bought my Malone, I had gone to the dealer to see one of his last Lelys in stock. The two 4 rotor machines were stood side by side on the paddock, so easy to compare. The build on the Malone's headstock (teh bit that usually cracks, if anything does) was far stronger. The Malone was more money but in a different class for build strength. Tines are similar in so far as they are hooked, but headland management is easier on the Malone, you just move a lever to rotate to angle all the wheels together.
