Maize, is it worth it for fattening beef??

looking at pros and cons of growing maize for fattening cattle, at moment do good silage and crimp barley in a tmr, wouldl it benefit maize? lookin at cost , lost field for 12 months and need extra pit , so whats folks opinions??

Been fattening cattle on maize for years. Didn’t put any in this year due to weather turning shyt in autumn and fields a complete mess over winter. Instead grown more barley and doing home and dry, see how we get on.
