This Manitou rough-terrain forklift was built on an international harvester tractor. The number of the tractor is A48000B00665. What type of tractor is this and when was it built? Is this number also the number of the whole machine?
We need this information to be able to register this rough terrain forklift.

Its an industrial tractor skid unit, Many parts are not the same as a normal tractor.

Manitou serial number will be on a serial plate on the mud guard or near the seat normally, there is also a mast number on the mast near the tilt rams if you need anything on the mast the mast number is critical.

There are far better machines out there IMO

Depends how early it is - the serial number plates originally were on the near side bonnet flap, and as the Rubber Retainers to lock the bonnet side broke, the panel was left flapping in the breeze so then the hinges broke and it fell on the floor and you drove over it so it was consigned to the workshop or scrap bin with all details lost forever, then they moved it to the near side mudguard where it was pretty safe - if it has been removed you will see the 4 rivet holes still there. The long number you quote is the skid unit serial number and to my knowledge there was no secret hidden serial number like on more modern machines to access when recovering stolen machines. In the old days at Manitou UK there was a good team who could come back to me with a serial number rom the chassis number, especially useful when I was called in by local Police to identify stolen Manitou machines. If it has not had an engine change there is the engine serial number etched into the block which was used when registering new machines for warranty, but it is unlikely Manitou Uk will be too interested in doing the detective work required to find your serial no in this digital age.
From the last time I tried to register a Manitou TH with the DVLA without correct Paper Work you have little or no hope - just put on a number plate off something 1974 ish - whats the chance of getting stopped?
