Massey 3120 front lift arms

Hi all,
decided it's time to install a used front lift. It's from something else, so brackets to be made/modified.
Should the side rails go back as far as the cab mounts? or is it sufficient just picking up the front side mounts.
If it makes any difference, possibly thinking to fit a loader at some point, which also probably won't have the correct brackets...
Appreciate any photos of similar installs, PM if needs be.

What you lifting on the front I would be going back to the cab at least most I've fitted went right to the back axle. I've seen them crack the engine block where the front casting bolts on when used with a front press due to flexing.

Maybe fit a push bar underneath if you are lifting a heavy weight.
We used to have a 3120 with a 4m combi and simple Farm Force front press and snapped the tractor in half. It didn't snap at the clutch housing but diagonally across the join where the rear diff housing bolted to the main gearbox!

Yes, they do crack engine blocks had an MF 7480 Perkins 2 years ago ended up with a recon. engine in an 04 tractor.
