The facelift looks way better and when it was launched it instantly made the round lights look very dated imoIs there any difference between a 7718vt and it’s face lifted model with black interior been looking at a few 2017 models
I agree about the looks but I’m wondering did they change anything performance wise eg horse power or featuresThe facelift looks way better and when it was launched it instantly made the round lights look very dated imo

It was a gradual process but the likes of the 6480, pre-2011 was Perkins, sisu after. 5455 remained Perkins until it ceased production whereas 5470 tier 3 and 5480 was always sisu. No tier 4 Perkins were ever put in a Massey so anything 2013- present (x600 or later) is sisuThat model will have a T3 Perkins engine and the later model's well be Sisu engine fitted.

Cant understand why they dropped/soldoff perkins over the years wev had quite a few perkins engine and especially the 6pots have been extremely reliable and bits for them is far and away cheaper than other brands. They own Sisu, so makes sense to use your own engine rather than buy one of Caterpillar (assuming they still own Perkins)Cant understand why they dropped/soldoff perkins over the years wev had quite a few perkins engine and especially the 6pots have been extremely reliable and bits for them is far and away cheaper than other brands. In the 90s when penniless Varity sold MF to AGCO they retained Perkins until it was eventually sold to Caterpillar. In 2004 when AGCO bought Valmet, it came with Sisu engines so ofc they will want to use an in house supplier much like the next generation of Fendt is going to all use AGCO power. JCB also used to be a big customer for Perkins but started production themselves because why would they buy engines off their biggest competitor - CAT! But as the other boy says Perkins isn't what it used to be, their emissions gear has been a bit messy and many companies have went with other suppliers like Deutz.Cant understand why they dropped/soldoff perkins over the years wev had quite a few perkins engine and especially the 6pots have been extremely reliable and bits for them is far and away cheaper than other brands. Perkins went the single fluid way with internal EGR which meant that fuel consumption at part load on T3 was high and for later emission versions it would have meant much bigger and more expensive cooling packages. Also Perkins seemed to believe they were supreme and went a bit arrogant towards their customers who almost universally sought other alternative engines for their products around the same time. This has resulted in Perkins, from being the supreme dominant off-road engine brand in the late 20thC to almost disappearing up its own backside in the early 21stC. They put the occasional advert in the farming press to promote themselves but it’s too little and far too late. The horse has bolted and alternative arrangements have been made; the big winners being CNH/Iveco, Deutz and Sisu/AGCOpower.Cant understand why they dropped/soldoff perkins over the years wev had quite a few perkins engine and especially the 6pots have been extremely reliable and bits for them is far and away cheaper than other brands.
