Always worked on farms with pivot steer so more preference if anything
Ha ha, expensive preference, we had a matbro pivort back in the day, think it was a tr250? then went rigid Jcbs since, I honestly don’t miss it one bit plus rigid much lower which is handy in tight sheds and have longer reach, and more stable.

Seen a good few Manitou 627/628 mla for sale locally, what would the opinion be on them for sourcing parts if need be? Machine isn’t going to be doing any dog work just feeding cattle basically

ignore MLA 627 and 628 series 1 and even MLA 628 120 LS series 2.

A rare to find but MLA 628 non 120hp LS series 2 is okay (reason for this is the throttle pot switch for the 120hp series 2 is obsolete and there no cheap way around it)

Ideally if you had to buy a MLA 628 then it needs to be a series 3 2003 to 2009 vintage in either 105hp or 120hp LSU
(They are not cheap machines to run though, can get expensive)

i wouldnt confine yoru self to a pivot steer, they are often not very good value for money. Less choice when buying and more expensive.

you wanted something small like a TR200 so why not look at JCB 524-55, 527-55 or something like that.

Cheers lads, yous have put the fear of God in me now so I think I’ll stay clear, I think it’s the lack of sleep during lambing that gives me these bright ideas 🤣

I've had the notion for an older handler for a while now but the prices they're looking for the age of them is very hard to get over.
Who is selling that one?
Fulton usually has a few options but would hear good and bad reports especially relating to getting someone out if you've a problem.
