Mayweed in winter wheat

I have a field of winter wheat that didn't receive an Atlantis. It has a scattering of mayweed across it now. It is going into OSR next so wanted to avoid an SU but not sure what would be best. It is reasonably large. What would be my options? I was going to go flurasulam or a dicamba type route but it is a good bit more money.

Isn't florasulam an su??? Or is it just ALS mode of action.[emoji848]

My go to product for mayweed is thor (tribenuron) 15-20 gms has always done a good job of mayweed in barley.

If you want to avoid su's the only other option would be shield but I'd guess that would be dearer than the options you've mentioned.

I think it is an SU but supposed to breakdown quickly. I would ideally use shield but the cost is high. I just worry with a dry time and the Carry over into the OSR.
Florasulam is not SU but is an ALS.
Go with Lector (or equivalent);
  • Reliable
  • Good value
  • Will do any cleavers lingering in the base of crop (or any other small brassica weeds).
  • Non-persistent (minimal risk to following brassica crop)

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.

This webinar will be...
