Anyone any idea what the new price of the f5500 is now

Why not ask a Mchale dealer , they should know.
I’ve just recently got a price from two McHale dealers Both are about £27.500. l was liking the look of the Kuhn baler, but out of 4 different dealers I’ve contacted in the last 2 months none have been bothered to actually get back to me with a price. So it looks like it’ll be a McHale for me

I priced one up 2 years ago they were 25500 then specked with larger wheels and a braked axel im torn between going for a mchale or another welger although i think id have to go mf now to get the welger local lely bloke says he cant get one in lely anymore

All i get is the rrp price off him because he knows i have a trade in and we all know the rrp is a load of rubbish

McHale all the way, used to be a Welger fan, you get another half ton of steel with the Irish. We’re getting another 100-150kg in a silage bale with the McHale and the chamber doesn’t flex either. Albeit the McHale is a rip off of the Welger!
The price I got was with the wider tyres but haven’t bothered about braked axles, i had a look at a fendt coloured welger that a local dealer had sitting from last season its about 3 grand cheaper than a McHale,
I’m just trying trying to justify the extra cost for the McHale to myself.

Our ex demo 5600 plus which nets with plastic, fat tyres, no brakes was £30,500 delivered Dec 2017, sold the Welger privately for what we paid for it 3 years before.
If you want properly heavy dense bales, demo a Krone Comprima v150.
Side by side last summer in the same field as a McHale, the Krone packed more in and made bales that were a better shape for the wrapper.
Krone backs their machines with a 3 year 30,000 bale warranty.
The expensive Irish green baler is a good copy of others, but it's not the best.

Mchale resale value will be higher than most others on the market. I think krone will have to offer 3 years warranty to get folk to buy them.
The krone make a great bale and come with a 30,000 bale warranty, after 30,000 bales they cost a fortune to run , the chains and bearings are very expensive , I know men who have them and they will not be replaced with another krone .

Let’s be honest most balers will cost a bit to repair after 30k bales.
€800 will sort out a Mchale , €800 would only be a deposit to sort out a krone.

That’s an impressive warranty - the Welger here did 22k before chain problems, at which point I replaced the long drive one for the rollers. I had one roller that sheared on the drive end and one that completely callapsed (at 900 quid a pop!) and various roller bearings fail which were cheap.

This is my problem always had welgers for last 20 year im reluctant to change but the welger is know were near as well put together as they used to be still a great baler that makes good bales but there not lasting as well as they once did mchale look strong 20b chains all round as apose to welgers 16b but the biggest thing ive noticed on the second hand market is there resale value is phenomenal compared to the welger
Can your mates cousin buy krone chains cheaper than I can . You don't know much about krone balers that mostly bale silage.
