McHale Orbital Wrapper

Anyone run or have experience with one of these McHale Orbital wrappers? Currently have a McHale 991BJS looking at upgrading.

I have looked at the McHale HS2000 but was sort of advised to avoid it as its a bad engineering design "Apparently"

Nothing wrong with hs2000 ran them for years, very capable and fast. However the orbital is another step forward imo, plenty around here and we'll thought of

Have you thought about the tanco 1400 series wrapper?
Think I'd prefer it over the orbital.
I have, local contractor has one and to be fair in my local area seems most baler wrapper outfits are all running Tancos. Ive never seen an orbital in my area. Only issue id have with them though is its hard to beat the McHale dealers. Nearly every few miles from me there is a McHale dealer. Havent a clue where my nearest Tanco dealer is. Parts and breakdowns are my concern.

Hs2000 are brilliant machines ,gather orbital is not quite as good on misshaped bales but very quick
I've ran a hs2000 for 6 years now fantastic machine easy to use and can wrap almost any badly shaped bale..
I do agree with this, Hard bate the belts between the rollers for awkward bales. What sort of output per hour can you expect from the Hs2000 would ye know? (Roughly speaking)

You won’t find a more efficient wrapper than an orbital. Can carry a bale while wrapping so you can keep moving at a steady pace. As far as bad shape bales are concerned if it resembles the shape of a round bale it will wrap it.

orbital really quick and reliable , hates mishaped bales, they run to one end of the rollers but if all good you can get on. HS 2000 a bit slower but a really good wrapper

Have to add the rear part of my fusion (orbital) looks a lot more robust long term than an hs2000, but that's just an opinion.

I've not really taken much notice of output because most customers I wrap for have uneven hilly fields so output wouldn't be great compared to nice flat field, but the baler man needs minimum hour head start on me pulling in the field, otherwise Iam right behind all day.

I was told that they could keep up with two balers handy enough so sounds like that's the case.

They won’t keep up with 2 balers on 6 layers, I’ve got one and I can’t keep up with one McHale v660. It’s about even till I have to change rolls then I’m constantly behind. Maybe in 4 layers you will do 90 bales an hour but in average it’s around 50-60 if your lucky.
