Thanks guys. Any ideas re brake fluid? Have you come across leak into trailer brake valve? Bit stumped as to where it going!.
Also no ws manuals? Can i get any type on ws info?
Dot 4.
Not having bought any parts (yet!) are they really that expensive that you would be looking for alternatives??
a seal kit is only about £12 only ever need calipers if you wear out the pads totally. Again a poor maintenance consequence

I couldn’t find a brake fluid leak on my 40.7. In the end a pipe had rusted through where it ran inside a piece of protective hose through the front of the chassis down to the front brakes. The steel line you took a picture of with a hydraulic coupling could be for the diff lock on the rear axle, although I can’t remember for certain.

Sorry for late update. Only got time to work on it today. I took the advice above and blanked off the trailer braking valve. I have bled the lines again and hopefully will have isolated one potential problem anyway. And the system is not pumping against the relief valve each time the brake pedal is pressed so that has to be good! So plan is to work it and see if leak is now stopped or have to go look elsewhere. I will let you know in few days how I get on.....thanks for the help 👍

Latest update. After few days work I seem to have no leak of brake fluid now, so am concluding some sort of leak to trailer brake valve. Now Im concerned about contamination of the hydraulic oil!!! Looks ok but wonder how much brake fluid contamination would you need to cause a MAJOR problem......

Is there any issues I should be aware of draining hyd oil or just drain tank and refil? ( I know I wont get all oil out but would get most). I know hydrostatic system is tricky...

Ok. 2 weeks on and am not loosing any brake fluid so hopefully a fix 🤞. So thank you guys for the help.

Now another (small🤞) issue....the telescopic boom is shuddering when extending....no prob retracting (other than it is very fast!!). This really only started after I changed oil...thought it might be air but not getting better . Again any advice welcome....
Im really lost without a workshop manual (first machine in 40 years I havnt got one for )
