anyone used Octavian Met?
i know legally cant go more than 50% dose now but does it have any contact activity on BG?

no pre-em before rain and now BG and wheat emerging together (as expected). what mix would you go for now? 480g FFCT straight off?

At a guess Option 1 would be quick roundup plus flufenacet if say there’s only 10% of wheat through? Or maybe flufenacet plus Atlantis ? Cheers dh

I don’t think metribuzin brings much to the party at this dose rate, but would help a bit as part of a stack.

I promised myself that before I started thinking of this type of marginal gain I’d be changing the overall strategy but I have no knowledge of your system or the individual circumstances that raised this question.

I think metribuzin mainly acts on broad-leaved weeds in its cereal use. It might add something to the party against blackgrass, but there are perhaps better mixes or sequences you could try. But as said above, I don't know your exact circumstances

because i didnt want to apply alot of chem ahead of 75mm of rain.

After las t year I won’t drill if I’m not 100% confident that I will get pre em on, how much wheat emerged? Glyphosate and FFCT ASAP??

If only a little wheat is up, definitely get glyphosate on asap.
If lots of wheat AND lots of blackgrass, also glyphosate asap.
The first loss is the best loss, leaving lots of bg to seed next year will cost many times more than starting again.

We sprayed some yesterday drilled 11 days before
wheat Mostly 95% not quite showing but not a lot of bg
rest will get done today

I now drill deep with plenty of seed spray A week after drilling

this year wheat has been very slow to emerge
in 2018 we had some in the rows 8 day after drilling
this year 14 to 16 days to full 1 leaf
