The 24 had a different structure to the 27 / 29 - belt drives were different - but its a simple machine - plenty of parts in Denmark as they were sold in larger numbers there - its like any aged machine - bearings and belts can be checked as well as the transmission - engine is probably a Perkins 106 hp - air con and hydro transmission were standard so this should be checked for operation - all gears etc - if you are not expecting a lot and price is inexpensive why not - they dont have a wobble box its a rod on a crank - has a secondary cleaner so very good samples generally - check that the cylinder variator works - just my 10 pennyworth
Ok great thanks for the information.

Check the sides of the combine/chassis the cross shaft with the eccentric con rods on pulls the bearing on the u shaping side of the combine. (If left bad the pulleys hit on the left side of the combine)
The pre cleaner idler (furthest pulley back) can give grief as belt is pulling it very much foreward as can the next pulley bearing type problems and they are an absolute bitch to get to.
Pre cleaner rots/rusts if left with chaff.
Headers don't give much grief, if the reel plastic bushes are worn they will start busting out in a laid crop.
Thanks much appreciated I’m going to see it again this weekend and I shall have a better idea what to look out for . Thanks
