Try it again, I did mine twice and it's spot on now!! Dealer said if it's still jumping after a few calibrations then the bevel washer has gone or whatever that isI recalibrated my 6480 and it has got a lot smoother in forward but very sharp and jumpy when engaging reverse. Should i recalibrate it again or just let it bed in over time.
Assuming this is a dyna 6 tractor the calibration is for the fwd/rev shuttle is a follows,
1- bring the transmission up to temperature, with the engine running press and hold the diff lock switch and the range button in the end of the t bar and the temperature will be displayed on the RH dot matrix screen. Aim for somewhere around 38 degrees but anywhere 35-45 is acceptable.
2, park the tractor on level ground and release the handbrake, disengage all a/c pto, diff lock, 4wd etc, set engine to 1500 rpm I use the a/b preset buttons if fitted.
3, hold the fwd/rev lever in its raised position above its fwd position and press and hold the diff lock switch, after a few seconds the range lights should start flashing 1-4 when the do release both switches, the transmission should now auto calibrate.
4, calibration is complete when the range lights flash 1-2.
Good luck!
Make sure that the cab blower/air-con is switched completely off before you do the calibration, because it relies on the ECU detecting load changes; changes that also occur when the compressor toggles in and out of work.Do that
i give up with mine. its over 2000hrs on now & nearly 3yr old & its still not right.
Might be time to complain to someone higher up the Agco Chain am thinking.....
And add the other issues along with it.
Quality of these things could be a lot better for the amount of money they cost.
Just hold it in raised forward position while pressing diff. You must have done it correct to get it flashing 1 to 4. Just let go of lever in forward and do not put back in neutral. Should hear clutches calibrating. Would stay in tractor though to be on safe side! Made my 6480 and 6495 a lot smoother.
10 minutes or less. How long should it take to recalibrate a 2010 6465
I must be doing something wrong sat in it for twenty minutes with range lights flashing 1-4 but nothing else happend10 minutes or less.
Then it wasn't calibrating. I can't remember the exact sequence but you need the revs exactly right with the air-con off, the correct oil temperature, the handbrake off [I think] and so on. It should be fairly obvious as to when it is calibrating as the lights will go through a sequence, not just flash regularly.I must be doing something wrong sat in it for twenty minutes with range lights flashing 1-4 but nothing else happend
It was showing error t254/t256 on matrix screenThen it wasn't calibrating. I've got the procedure written down somewhere. Not sure where at the moment but possibly in my tractor's manual. Which is…… where?
NOW you tell us!It was showing error t254/t256 on matrix screen
NOW you tell us!
Not that I'm any the wiser as I don't have a list of fault codes.
T254 and T256 relate to boost sensing, T254 is when the crappy piece of tin can fitted to the gearbox input shaft has moved slightly and the sensor has not picked it up, easy fix but costly on labour to split the tractor, 256 is more to do with manifold pressure - I think ?
Nothing to worry about keep goin
