Armed personnel carrier .. !!!!!... All the team were wearing flak jackets and tin helmets .. They spent an hour answering questions after presentation .. Farmers were not as miserable as they normally are .. jtt

So nobody rocked the boat and you all did what you were told without getting your begging bowls out. What good producers you are!

Yes we are aren't we .... Dirty linin is better washed in private .. don't you think .. I did want to stand up and shout we were on 26 p 22 years ago but i didnt ...but that's my fault for ploughing on regardless .. New dairy can't come fast enough ...jtt.

One day I truly hope all you dairy farmers realise that (behind consumers) you are the most crucial part of the supply chain, and when you do you may just find things dont have to be so boom and bust whist the bit in the middle make fortunes and (yes it's true) blow fortunes off your backs.

Westwards some of us would be willing to invest in your local creamery .. That is if you ever need a hand to buy it ... It's been done before .. Now there is crowd funding ..... Capital has never been easier to raise privately .. In the south west of Scotland the Galloway creamery needed help and got it 20 years ago .. You may know more of the Galloway creamery than me. Just a thought .. jtt

Who is trying his hardest to get recognition for the hardest working link in the chain. My passion for the industry is no less than when our cows went in 2001, and despite farming around 300 acres our main business is that of consumer campaigns, marketing and coms strategies. Maybe this is how I can help the industry I am still passionate about, maybe not.

I am no expert on the machinations of Glanbia, but as an outsider looking on at the various dynamic changes in Glanbia over recent years, my observation is that their farmers are being squeezed out by the corporate management and institutional friends..

Glanbia's executive appear to have a grand plan for their business and it's earning per share ratio. Whether that is a good or bad thing for Irish farmers is for them to decide
