It's graduated seasonality and works off your 12 monthly rolling profile. How does the seasonality scheme work?
So you don’t go positive on those litres over for autumn milk? It's graduated seasonality and works off your 12 monthly rolling profile.
I was going to upload the seasonality spreadsheet calculator document on here just now, but when I downloaded it said confidential, so didn't want to upset the Muller Gestapo.
Basically, any excess spring litres get hammered, so much so that you're better off not sending any at all, and just sticking to your 12 month rolling average.
Unfortunately not, just rumble along the average or just above, but not enough to make a material difference. So you don’t go positive on those litres over for autumn milk?
Don’t see how it can be called seasonality thenUnfortunately not, just rumble along the average or just above, but not enough to make a material difference.
It's first time this year they've introduced it.
Quite.Don’t see how it can be called seasonality then
Surely that’s telling you that the clearly don’t want white water? Time for a change in breeding?Quite.
It's another tool Muller have created and introduced to bash the non-aligned liquid supplier even more.
It's nothing to do with milk quality, all about volume.Surely that’s telling you that the clearly don’t want white water? Time for a change in breeding?
So if you were autumn block calving with 9% solids sending less milk now than through the winter you would be worse off? It's nothing to do with milk quality, all about volume.
I could send them 8-9% solids and would still get a rogering.
They just don't want any excess spring milk.
Not if you were sending less litres. So if you were autumn block calving with 9% solids sending less milk now than through the winter you would be worse off?
If I remember correctly wiseman/muller pay nothing for protein and not a massive amount for fat, surely though they will incentivise autumn/winter milk ?So if you were autumn block calving with 9% solids sending less milk now than through the winter you would be worse off?

What feed back to you get as suppliers from them. Has there been any change in management because they seem to of got themselves into some awful contracts. It's nothing to do with milk quality, all about volume.

That is strange as the cream fraction is where Wiseman used to make a lot of money. Do Muller not still need cream?Nothing to do with quality. Just when they want/don't want the milk. They only pay a marginal amount for fat nothing for protein.
Didn’t they give the margin away on cream to the supermarkets? That is strange as the cream fraction is where Wiseman used to make a lot of money. Do Muller not still need cream?
Yes but not before they made a fortune out of it to start with.Didn’t they give the margin away on cream to the supermarkets?
Not if you were sending less litres.
