MX Loader headstock locking pin not engaging

As per total the locking pin on the (Euro) headstock is not engaging fully. See pictures.

Pin is controlled by 3rd service. Have to press a button in the cab to activate the little ram in the pin rather than the normal 3rd service pipes.

Pin is free to move by hand so don’t think it’s binding on anything.

Everything is straight and true.

was fine 3 days ago when I swapped on a bale grab after being in bale spikes.

Is it a calibration job on tractor??

It may be the seals in the Hyd cylinder have blown allowing the fluid to circulate
Try connecting something else to the 3rd service to confirm functionality & eliminate the tractor or connect the cylinder to something else & function it.
Loader locking cylinders have a habit of blowing seals

3rd service worked fine right before I took picture when I took of a bake squeeze.

A calibration can't hurt
There was a thread previously about a NH brake issue which was caused by a blown fuse - modern tractor technology
Could it be dodgy/worn QR Couplings?

Couplings on bake squeeze brand new , as I new squeeze Friday last week.

Moved a couple hundred bales since

Makes on loader only used for squeeze and seem fine, no leaks

I’ll take the ram of tomorrow to check, thanks.

Check the solenoid and or wiring to it that does the change over form 3rd service to bucket lock ram

It could be one of the hoses collapsed inside, but I would check the ram first. It might have inlets with restrictors in that could easily get erm, restricted with a tiny bit of debris. Or it might have an internal leak

The ram is moving a bit, just not fully, so I guess solenoid is fine?
If the ram is only moving a bit, it may suggest pressure is getting to one side of the ram but not releasing on the opposing side.
this could be a valve/solenoid issue as it could only be moving enough to allow pressure into the ram but not let the oil come back on the other side.
As said before, it could also be plugged restrictors having the same effect.

Update.

Jumped in tractor this morning and thought I’d just try and locking in, slid across fine no problem.

Ok I thought, let’s open the pin again and try and lock it. Pin opened fine but now won’t lock fully again as per yesterday.

🙄

For what it’s worth, sounds electrical to me. If there was something up with hydraulics it would be repeatable.

replaced a hose in fert spreader recently, then one ram wouldn’t move properly. There was a small bit of metallic debris, presumably from cutting the hose, in the <0.5mm orifice. It was exceeding repeatable, as would be issues with the ram seals.
