So after 2 yrs after starting to think about building our new home and trying 4 sites I finally got to start levelling our site out this week.

The hole is 22m long x 12m wide

That's as much as I can get done just now I'll need to get back to farm work till the builder hopefully comes in April to get the founds in

So after doing nowt for a few weeks the builder wanted to get started 2 weeks early after being held up on another job so I wasn't going to say no .

2 weeks later we're getting there. Picking up the timber frame tomorrow but it'll be mid may before it's going up .

Looking good! Nice to see a different sort of build. 👍

Please keep us posted. 🙂
It's a fairly typical build for these parts we've got a timber frame company in town.

It's been a heap of hassle so far I'm still at the stage of wishing I'd never started :banghead: !!!

Much as I love a good shed build thread on here, a house is a welcome shake up. Is the timber frame pre-insulated?

No building project goes with a hitch or two that’s for sure....wishing you the best of luck and speedy progress from now on. Right time of year weatherwise to be building at least.

Yeah the insulation is in the frame already.

We're desperate for rain but I've been quite happy with dry dusty conditions on site for work to get done
