New Ford Ranger

Dont know ,,I was reading this bit
The big headline here is the introduction of that new 3.0-litre V6 – one of three turbodiesel engines that will be available from launch.

The introduction of this – an engine that’s built in Dagenham and already used in the larger Ford F-150 truck, rather than related to the 3.0-litre TDI in the previous Amarok – is a direct response to customer demand for more power and torque, especially for ‘towing heavy loads and extreme off-roading’.

The new version brings more power than the previous engines, with 240hp and 600Nm of torque. A petrol V6 with 288hp will also be available, but only for the flagship Ranger Raptor.
Here’s one it’s big like a F150

Now launched and open for orders. Quite tempted to go with the new V6 Diesel On a business lease. £ numbers not too ridiculous.

Has anybody had a chance to go in one yet? Apparently VW bringing out a new Amarok based on the same running gear…

When you start putting a ‘normal’ annual mileage on them then it soon gets close to £600/month + vat for the standard 2 litre version. OTR prices is £50k so there won’t be any ‘deals’ about. VW prices are due out in March but will be the same plus a bit more.

That,s a new pick-up off of my wish list, unless my old L200 has doubled in value!!

I’d also like to change our 2017 Navara which has been brilliant, for a new Ranger, but frankly I just look at the prices and find them all hard to justify. It’ll do nothing that the Navara doesn’t but cost 3x the price!

Go look at 2nd hand prices as well.... Scarey.

They dipped for the 3.2 Rangers in early Jan, and have crept back up. I missd out on an 18 plate at 25K +VAT, which in hindsight, was probably a good thing. If the sucklers go, I will not be doing much mileage at all in the old one.

Have been offered a cancelled order in V6 due in 6 weeks or so. Have ended up buying to make most of the 130% deduction…

Passed this place yesterday and this caught my eye. Thought it was a bit steep on price but maybe it isn‘t?
