New Grain trailers, what are the options?

The hardox isn’t a massive price increase but is really good if you are moving a lot of dirty product ie carrots or spuds.
equally good if moving stone about.

Recently had quotes for Bailey, Richard Western, K2, Stuart, Marshall and Warwick. All like for like spec - 16t, grain shute, rollover sheet, air/hydraulic brakes, load compensation, 560 tyres, high level lights, beacon etc.
There was less than £500 between them all apart from the Warwick with was a little cheaper.
Still undecided which to go for but my current thinking is to sit tight maybe and see what the wether does as I may not need any trailers this year!

Spoke to a tractor/machinery salesman last week he said don't buy anything! The sh!ts away to hit the fan with agricultural machinery and tractors and we will see big changes in next 6 months.

Interesting times.

That’s my experience too.
Must be some dodgy dealer discounts about. From the flat trailer thread:

Stewart was 40% more spec for spec

We've got a as marston mdx. Just about the last made, went to the receivers and then storage and then auction. Really good trailer they just about caught up with the rest before they finished. Think someone is making them again now in Scotland? no idea what new price is tho. It's got domex steel..... Not 100% sure how that compares with standard steel and hardox etc.

I sent you the quote I had, ill pm you now what I paid for the Marshall. I'd just suggest everyone price for themselves as there seems to be a good variation accross the country

That’s what I mean, seems an awful lot of variation. Must be the dealers adding margins.

What's a ballpark figure for that spec of trailer? High teens I'm guessing?

Cheers I can't justify new, but have been looking for a good used one that spec for ages, but most used trailers look even worse value than new ones :(

Yes. That’s what we found. Ended up buying a new 16t Bailey Beetheaoer with a few extras. Will use it for grain , beet and stockfeed spuds so wanted a 60 degree tip angle.
