What's people's thoughts on these 2 balers and what's the difference between them I currently run a bb940 been a good enough baler for me but getting tired now and found a 185 series 2 that looks tempting.

Why that size?
80-90 is the perfect size for us most of it apart from what goes into the cows is done by hand and the majority goes to horse customers who like to be able to put a few flaps in a wheelbarrow and go they struggle like hell with 120-90 bales and rounds but these are perfect.

Somebody up this way was looking to trade his BB890 last year for a new one but his dealer couldn’t find a buyer for the old one so the deal fell though, it would be a good baler for someone as it’s not done vast amounts.
Me personally I’d go with the New Holland every time but that’s just personal choice, I’ve had 5 of em and still run a BB950.

using a 120x90 now, local contractor had a man severely injured when he released straps and wasnt quick enough. There was a big claim
Another lad got hit from behind by falling bales, very lucky

120,s far safer, and my horse yard loves them
I had to use a 120 90 for a year when my old krone before my nh baled it's needles as I couldn't get another 80 90 in and had a major mutiny from several horse yards the complaints I got were unreal they couldn't handle the bales and ended up going elsewhere I use 400 a year at lambing time and carrying all that around the sheds compared to a small 80 90 tought me a valuable lesson never again we have a Kuhn straw blower for the cattle and maybe if I purely had them I'd probably have a 120 90 or even better 120 120 baler
