Translated into English so excuse the grammar
The one who will share his platform with the future Mazda, the result of an agreement established in 2016, gives priority to driving comfort and safety. Its design is more modern. The bodywork is made of high-strength steels, guaranteeing increased strength and durability. Isuzu has also improved the braking system with larger discs and the steering becomes electric, therefore more precise, while the suspension promises less utilitarian behaviour at high speeds. The new D-Max is also loaded with many driving assistance and well-known passenger vehicle technologies, such as collision alerts, keyless start, engine and district heating start, blind spot alerts, wipers with integrated wash nozzles to increase windshield cleaning efficiency, parking sensors and reversing camera... More luxurious, the interior will be available in several levels of finish, from the most basic for purely professional use to the most "high-tech", with the arrival of a large 7 or 9-inch touch screen, Android Auto or Apple CarPlay compatible as standard. A 100% digital instrumentation should be available as an option. Finally, if it has a fabric upholstery and a fairly uncluttered dashboard in its basic version, the most luxurious can enjoy sports seats and a brown leather dashboard and an advanced audio system. As for the engines, Isuzu is renewing its 1.9-litre 4-cylinder turbo diesel engine, which is now inflated to 164 horsepower but whose power on the third opus is not yet known. A 3.0-litre 190 horsepower and 450 Nm engine is also announced. It will take a little longer to find out all the technical characteristics of the versions sold in France. Naturally characterised by propulsion, these pick-ups are equipped with an all-wheel drive system that can be engaged, with long and short speed ranges.

I bet Isuzu uk will mess it up again by only having the 1.9 engine again.
And not the 3lt as most countries have now on current models.

First I've heard of any of this.
Let us hope that they revert back to a lever for range changes with synchro on the up-change, like they had on the early 3.0 Trooper, for on-the-go upshifts. Ideally they would also be full time 4wd like Land Rover, Mitsubishi, VW, the V6 Mercedes X-Class and Land Cruiser. That would bring them at least part way into the 21st Century compared to the current pre-historic models.

Unfortunately there is nothing in that cabin view that stands out at all. It just looks meh. ? No style or flair there at all. Nothing that makes it stand out and no obvious surprise and delight design features. By the looks of it very little shelf space for phones, forms, tablets, tag pincers, syringes, tape measures and all the necessary kit commercial users carry. They obviously haven't looked at modern van designs at all and just morphed the innards of a Nissan Qashqai to fit.

Just 'OK'. They show no ambition with their product. Not since the 1993 Trooper, which was a step-change from prior models and competitive with Range Rover at just over half the price. The facelift introduced the 3.0 direct injection engine that nearly killed them off with a major design fault of course, and their engines have been hit and miss ever since.

Hopefully they release the 3.0 with the MUX body like they get in austrailia
If it tows 3.5 ton would be a cheaper alternative to a land rover or Toyota commercial

There is certainly a market for an utility van. Its not for me though. I can't do without the flexibility of an open deck pickup truck. If I wanted a small van, I'd buy a 'small van'.

Would be perfect for meI never use my pickup as a open deck and I find putting stuff in and out the back to high not enough room and just annoying :yuck:

and my cars made into a van now but can’t pull a trailer an it’s abit useless off-road.... I keep looking for a suitable replacement for the van car but anything that can tow 3.5 ton is abit old with many miles on and most the newer stuff cant:rolleyes: FFS even the land cruiser commercial can’t :ROFLMAO:

I bought an Isuzu last year. I thought it looked the least over styled, pimped-up up pickup on the market, whilst still being tuff and practical. I really don’t like those weird angular lines of this new interior: not a good look at all! It’s a work truck, so just needs to look workmanlike.

The manufacturers don’t make these specifically for farmers. For every 1 sold on farm I bet there are 10 sold to normal folk. Hence why they don’t make the interiors farm friendly. In some specs I’m sure it’s geared more for utility work and not dropping kids off to school.
