they don't have the skills to deal with electrics
I wouldn't be too sure about that. Some time ago I was working in Southern Afghanistan trying to persuade farmers to grow grapes, veg etc .instead of opium and marijuana. [Didn't stand a great deal of success when the local and national politicians were making most of their income from the drugs trade, but it paid well] A generator technician somehow switched phases when he serviced our main power generator and managed to fry a whole lot of electronic kit including a satellite internet system, computers routers and printers. We took the fried kit to a shack in the nearby market and within 2 days, the whole lot was repaired at very little cost. In Europe or the USA, everything would have been tossed in the bin and replaced at a cost of £'000's.

That add for jcb is a set up, there is no way with the size of the heaps of stone that they are doing all their loading with a little jcb, I’d say if you went around the back you would find old Volvo 220 loaders with 7 ton buckets. That toy would be a Half an hour loading a lorry.

Don’t think so, probably much cheaper to pay the driver $1 a day and drive the JCB than invest in massive kit.
