No shows or sales this Autumn!!

I’d imagine the major sales such as Stirling and Carlisle will be on in October, but probably without the show.
There was a Limousin production sale on at Carlisle today where they set up the sale ring in the exhibition hall where they can accommodate more people whilst trying to observe social distancing.

English Winter Fair announced earlier this week that it's cancelled.

Was chatting with someone a few weeks ago who seemed to think of the autumn shows / winter Fairs, the ones which normally attract big crowds ie. Welsh winter fair/English winter fair won't go ahead. Due to not being able to enable/control social distancing. However the smaller events like the calf shows at Thirsk or Newark might go ahead as they have far less attendees.

And still it's OK to leave the pubs open
i can honestly say, that i feel sorry for our guv, this virus is breaking down whole strains of society. On one part, you have the 'scientists', who are risk adverse, another the 'media', forever shouting too slow, or too fast, or not enough, then the gen public, who think furloughs fantastic, well, some, but are livid, because they cannot/risk going abroad on holiday ! What does every body expect, any guv to do ? Throw in the massive loss to the economy, i suspect the cons wish labour were in, and labour, thanking their lucky stars they are not !!! But, as this c19 drags on and on, our whole way of life, is going to change, in some things, for the better, others for the bad.
Foreign holidays, are a massive industry, both in planes, and passengers, but one of the major polluters for carbon, and why should they receive special help ? Tourism is a massive industry, but, if people could no longer could/afford to go abroad, and had to stay in the UK, how much of our currency, would stay in the UK, instead of being spent abroad, and what would be the difference, from foreign visitors spend here ?

It's not so much the hospitality side , but more so the pubs where it can be difficult to control a large alcohol fuelled crowd
drink and people, can be a recipe for disruption, but, surely, as alcohol is a 'disinfectant', that would mitigate the relapsing of social distancing. A new valid excuse, could be, ' i wasn't drinking, officer, i was disinfecting myself' !!!!
