Not a big problem in the scale of things, but tractor toolboxes?!?

As title says this is not a massive issue, but.....

I would like to safely carry a few tools, like a set of spanners, a hammer, pliars....... somewhere safely on the tractor. The toolbox is without doubt to small.

Also it seems I always end up with with rachets and straps in the cab.

Any ideas please?

What tractor is it for? I used to mount a toolbox like this on top off the side step with two bolts going through to a flat plate that is under the step, various depths and widths about.

Side step is narrow on the t6 if i remember correct? Do they come with a flat derv tank at the top you could mount it on, failing that make a frame up to go at the front with it bolted to the chassis

can somebody come up with a reason why manufacturers don’t put a decent tool box on a tractor?
why do they fit a child’s size tool box not big enough for a hammer made from very soft plastic?

They're designed for farms in Europe.

Where they return to the staff canteen for dinner so you only have storage in cab for a drinks bottle and if something breaks they call out their fitter hence no tool storage.

You're a driver, not a mechanic....

Unlike most farmers/contractors in the UK....

Yes, it's very annoying.

I'll take a pic of mine later.

Got them made to my spec by a truck company, think Italian though so probably be a hell of a wait at mo. The idea is sound though, if you can find one to suit size wise off the shelf.
Basically it's mounted on the standard mount on the fuel tank.
It's very good and fits in perfectly.
Got one on a t6160, and one on a puma 160.

My uncle rolled a tractor on steep ground and would have been unharmed except for being hit by the lump hammer, stilsons and spanners behind the seat flying round
