Got combine back from 25 miles away with 24 acs still to cut their but he will have to find someone else[doing someone a favour]. co owner on now with his very fit but weathered WB 4pm and 15%. We have had 32mm last 6 days but windy/hot today so dried up a treat. Got 80 acs to do before a 12 mile move to my OSR but unfortunately rain on wednesday so will be thur/fri hopefully and hope not too heavy rain on wed.

Haven't cut a feck'in thing since Wednesday, five days of rain on the belt. Rape still hang on, but we don't want to many nights like last night for the lot to be on the floor.

Just finished! last load 7.8%, but final trailer got caught in a sharp shower on the way back to the farm. Hopefully no harm done.

Correction: last load 6.8% not 7.8

Having tested a sample at 4 and it was 11.6, got going about 5.30 and it had dropped to 9.5. Nearly finished the patch we're on and about to move to the last 100 acres. Planning to keep going till as long as possible, so hoping for a late night!
