Any good recommendations? Had an accident with mine, got left unplugged and a naughty heifer who likes to grab things like rope pulled it off the girder...
Needs to be fairly loud as the parlour isn't the quietest, had a makita in there before and not really loud enough

Not milking these days but I had a Denon unit with speakers strapped above head height at each end of the parlour so could always hear it without having it too loud. Had bluetooth, ipod input, DAB etc (prob had Spotify as well, not that that would’ve worked - no broadband). Great sound quality and usability. Think the latest model will be the M41DAB. Mine was the 38.

Plenty of cheap stacks around, had a kenwood in the old parlour, need decent speakers to have good sound quality when turned up loud.

I don’t have it that loud.also Mine are over ear wireless ones that I have only on one ear if that makes sense.
no issues with cows not coming in.
Plus no gadgets in the parlour but we do have variable speed pump so any rise in engine speed is pretty obvious.

Ours was stupid loud. 2 hours and I was done in and headphones only made it worse. Moved the pump and bllliiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiisssss.

See if you can find an old music centre from the dump or somewhere. You would only need the speakers in the parlour and have the unit somewhere more convenient.

I did think about this, but I would 1000% lose them, I already go through enough Stanley knives that I'm fairly sure MI5 have me on some sort of weapons related watch list I don't need to be losing headphones as well

Would love to but there's not really anywhere else for it to go, neighbours field on one side, bulk tank room at the front, parlour behind it and collecting yard on the other side
Plus I'm not sure I can be bothered
To be fair the feeders provide a fair chunk of the noise just from cake hitting the pans

Can you get a DAB signal in Kernow. Useless in the house and beyond useless in farm buildings here in sunny West Wales

I only use Spotify Bluetooth from my phone because I can't stand listening to adverts and hate most of the presenters

I have a hifi system in the office with cable leading to marine grade speakers in the actual parlour.

10 years and no issues at all

I waterproofed mine by making a cabinet for it to sit in on a shelf.

Get on market place or gum tree always local micro hifi s for sale sometimes dab !

Put it in an acoustic enclosure then. Don’t mess around with unnecessary noise in your workplace or you’ll find yourself deaf before your time.
