Depends whether it includes fuel. Also how many trailers.I'm a solely arable farmer so not really got an idea of silage contractor costs but isn't £59/ac to mow, rake, forage harvest, cart and buckrake ridiculously low priced?
Forage harvester only £22 an acre and nationwide service? How can that even be a thing?
Start lands end couple weeks ago. End up Scotland in two weeks, loon back to lands end and start again…oh but there’s picking up to do as well as just driving.
you would need a big fleet of choppers!!
my fil was paying £55 over 10 yrs ago and that was a new outfit that undercut locals so I agreeI'm a solely arable farmer so not really got an idea of silage contractor costs but isn't £59/ac to mow, rake, forage harvest, cart and buckrake ridiculously low priced?
I would suggest that the advert is just to get the phone ringing and then there would be additional costs because of something like a minimum radius of travel a minimum ac/ha and maximum distance from clamp etc etcThe advert suggests that this is a pretty large and well equipped fleet of gear and a fair few staff to pedal it all?
There is also talk of a murder charge between him and another lovely bloke. The pair of them have also fallen out so are now posting videos of each trying to get each other in trouble with the police. My advice to people is not to talk about this company any longer.Yes 1st hand experience of this lot, not somebody said, a lot of the straw offered for sale has in someway been taken from other people in dubious circumstances, sometimes by not paying for it, or by buying at straw sales then using threats or intimidation to get monies refunded. Brightwells and Bagshaws are just two companies that have knowledge of this lot.
Straw being sold by weight at auctions then load being swapped between the auction and delivery, weight tickets not legit. We have had people contact us and prove that the product he supplied was not his to sell. He is fine to start with then if he doesn't get his own way becomes nasty and intimidating, stay well clear. Contract work and advert is a con, he set some lads on 2 year ago to chop grass, paid them a large sum of cash before they done the work, week later rang them said the job was off and to pay the money back into a bank account. He had cleaned the money, looked like the funds were from a customer into his account, can only guess were the cash had come from it was a 5 figure sum. We were approached last September by police economic crime unit as they were investigating this outfit.
