Got a phonecall last night "THIS TRACTOR IS GOING MAD & IT WON'T SLOW DOWN!, come & have a look" I was in the next field so went over imagining all sorts, soon as I got in noticed no resistance on the pedal, spring must be broke so not so bad in the end, was able to keep going to get the job done.

Came up with a bodge this morning...

Fully adjustable for sensitivity & spring strength....by moving hose clip or tying knots in bungee cord :rolleyes: works quite well too.

Told him it might stay like that till Christmas, could all happen too :whistle:
I know the feeling! One summer morning I parked my tractor ( Renault) by the diesel tank filled her up, then put my foot on the clutch to engage reverse and the pedal literally fell away from my foot. "Oh brilliant" I thought "60 acres of hay to bale and the bloody clutch has gone!":( I switched off the engine and crawled underneath only to find the end of the return spring had broken off! What a relief. 5 minute job with a pair of mole grips and a vice to make a new loop on the end of the spring and I was up and running again.:)

Get yourself up on to the moor, go for a walk up dunkery beacon, bite to eat at the rest and be thankful, Then a drive over the moor to Tarr Steps. Better value than Tropicaria.
If your needing a farm fix give me a shout and pop up for a coffee, (y).

Ha I'm not allowed near any farms ! Mandy has already been picking her brains out wondering who or what farm I was going to visit when I suggested coming here on holiday

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.

This webinar will be...
