Quicke loaders On JD

What do people think of Quicke loaders on newer John Deere tractors, have seen them on used R series and am not sure about them. Are they better than Jd loaders? Would love to hear opinions
Thank

I use a Quicke Q65 on a 6140R with the electric thumb controlled joystick and also drive a 6115R with JD H310 loader. Quicke is better but not a lot wrong with the JD. Not quite a direct comparison though.

I have a q66 on my r6140. As far as loaders go it lifts and lowers and does the job.
It was originally on my t6080 with electric controls now on a joystick.
Was blue now painted green.
I like the cable joystick reliability but the electric was much nicer to use.
It does make the tractor big and clumsy and prefer it off. But at the same time it’s the first set up I’d have over a loading shovel.
Farms all arable and I’ve just the one main tractor and a 8340 as a spare

Quicke would be cheaper I assume. For me, the JD loader being designed around the tractor makes it the best option.

- I think the R series loader will sit lower than the Quicke based on the levelling link being below the loader arm whereas it's above it on the Quicke
- JD loader very quick to whip off, can be done literally in a minute if you know what you're doing (not sure about the Quicke for comparison, probably depends if you have a quick coupler on it or not)
- Personally prefer the JD pull out handle on the headstock to Quicke swing over one too, which I'd say is a bit flimsy
- JD will be a heavier loader for sure, for good or bad.
- Don't know if you can get a Quicke loader to work on the CommandArm joystick in an R series, would assume you can but obviously the JD definitely would
- Plenty of bushings and grease points on the new JD loaders whereas the old ones got sloppy pretty quickly, people seem to say Quicke last well too with their simplicity so probably equal there

End of the day, Quicke probably is better if you're not using it much and need a cheaper option or want to use it on multiple tractors, otherwise I'd choose JD.

We have a quicke q5s which has got the side unlatch for the quick attach. I have no preference on that option as we don't change attachments often.

Are the JD loaders in house or a rebrand? I know at one point down here they here rebanded Tatami(That's not the right spelling I know). Just though you might be able to get one from somewhere else and not pay the leaping Deere premium.

I know someone who reckoned a backpacker bent the frame on their JD loader and they won't have another.

As someone said if the quicke is cheaper and works with the arm joystick I'd have the Quicke.
