Spring cleaning farm workshop today and found this in a box of parts

i “think” i have worked out what it is but no idea what it may have fitted

anyone know ? or take a guess ?

I remember the old style front pto’s use to use something very similar. A chamfered piston would expand the blocks against a drum to engage the drive. I’ve seen a very similar setup on a newer grimme harvester as well.

We used to run a lot of Grimme kit / harvesters so that would explain it !
