So, I have approximately 600 lambs and 110 cattle to sell. I am a member of QMS which I am quite happy to support and be audited by in Januaryish

The question is why the effing hell do I get asked to be audited by killing houses, ABP 4 weeks ago, Kepak have done one Dunbia I think I did one and Scot beef want one and they are part of bloody ABP🙄. What is the point in these other ones as the QMS inspection is far more onerous than than these other Mickey Mouse inspections. Best part is I am as well selling to my local slaughter house and sticking 2 finger to the lot of them. Biggest pee off is the time wasted speaking to them literally same sh!t different day. And they want to inspect while I am lambing, calving and sowing........ The answer is nah yer not getting the animals!

Used to sell bulls to Scotbeef and they used to come and audit us for their M&S contract.
Even though M&S don't use meat from bulls. Allegedly...

Then they suddenly stopped killing bulls. Which is their prerogative.

Few months later they wanted to come and do the inspection.

"But we don't send you cattle any more"
"Oh. Do you still want the inspection?"
"Take a wild guess..."

Justifying jobs thats all there doing. Every year i get sent maps from the gas board(cadent) and every year they are wrong and i correct them, last year i didnt bother and a chap rang chasing them up, i pointed out that i correct the maps every year and every year they send the old incorrect maps out to me, he repied that it kept him in a job !

Now I know this will sound stupid, but the whole idea the NFU's set up Red Tractor was that there was only one annual inspection/audit.

This was planned to prevent any race to bring in extra requirements by every different supermarket which they wanted to use as a sales gimmick.
The trouble was that Red Tractor went rogue and not all buyers wanted to use it.

Perhaps we should invent a Gold Tractor!!!!!!
