Prices cannot be public surely? Would defeat the object of quoting process, and suppliers would have the advantage of seeing what they were against.

I would like prices if possible, I always look at the fuel price tracker and use it as a target , if only to beat Angof:)

if you post the prices you have been quoted is up to you, some may prefer not to or be asked not to buy those doing the quoting and other may prefer to publicise a good price

your choice, no rules !;)

What d
It's to ask for a quote for something you want to buy or sell

Not an advert but you could put up a load of straw inproved for example asking for offers
what do you mean by inproved,
I see amongst other things there is a lot of forage up for sale already, so why have they not put this in the adds
500 big bales of organic hay for sale !! here or in adds ???

Inproved is a typo - should say unpriced (autocorrect on iPhone sorry !)

Simple if selling -

Classifieds you put a price

Quote me you don't and are open to offers by pm

When some askes for a quote just bear in mind it can take a few hours to get one, it's anyones right to buy of the he'll they like but when someone asks for a postcode without any reply and spends time getting prices TK find the order as been given elsewhere it makes the point of the quote seem rather daft to me

Apologies if you feel hard done by there FT but I was wanting to get the job sorted as I need delivery this week and was actually on the phone at the time of your post, so didn't see it till this morning, plus you were a day late to the party so complaining that people have left early is a tad unfair.

No matter is my own fault, I have a guy that works for me up there but couldn't get hold of him

Thought I'd added some barley to this quote me thing but can't find it now? Any ideas as I thought it had posted correctly but honestly didn't really check very well.

I remember seeing it posted Lee trying to find but it's like trawling through treacle on the forum at the moment. :(

It's been moved to classifieds "for sale" section http://thefarmingforum.co.uk/index.php?threads/sell-approx-6-tonnes-tipple-barley.33035/

This is because it was a for sale advert and not something that lee was asking for a quote on

Quote me isn't a classifieds replacement, for sale and wanted threads should still be posted in that section, the difference with quote me section is that it should be used to get quotes for inputs or offers for outputs

Lee's ad is simply a un priced for sale advert a couple of others have also been moved to classifieds as well to try and keep a clear difference between the sections

Hope that makes sense !

It's in bags and less than a load, I'm pretty sure your not looking for a merchant to buy it as a commodity ;)

It's a for sale advert really just un priced not something I think you were expecting merchants to bid you for surely ? However if that is what you were hoping fir I can move it back here ? But maybe make the post clear that's what you want ?

It's in the for sale section so anyone looking for 6 t of bagged tipple barley will be able to find it and make you an offer still,

The quote me section has to be different to classifieds or it would be pointless

New classifieds coming soon will hopefully make more sense and logic of it all
