As above really, had a good deal on 12 months of profi, but that's coming to an end now.

Any others to look at? I like profi however 95% of the kit is too big and new for me. The online subscription is handy tho as you can search keywords for machines and any past publications with that kit in will be pulled up and you can view, for example I bought a 16yr old sprayer this year and found all the reviews for it when it was new and a buyers guide for it.

I gave up on profi. Too much livestock, along with the unrealistic nature of most of the pieces for our size of operation. The only mag I look forward to arriving now is classic tractor and farmers guide 👌 direct driller is ok; bit heavy going but I do enjoy a lot of the ‘interview’ articles seeing different people’s takes on things

I enjoy profi and had it since first copy.it's been handy fir machine reviews fir older stuff I bought over the years.it's nice to read about stuff I'd never own too.I'm glad they done away with livestock stuff and I did complain about the political content that sometimes filled a lot of the magasine but that eventually stopped.as far as I'm concerned it's far superior to farm machinery magasine which I've cancelled in the last year

I haven’t bought an Ag related newspaper or magazine for more years than I can remember

I used to have subscriptions to a few motorcycle magazines, until they realised the market for print magazines wasn’t sustainable anymore . . .

Agree. Only thing is, i personally prefer something in my hands rather than a screen
It's why I won't read posts over 100 words on here

Farmers Guide is always opened straight away - the classified ads are good, but I feel that the editorial content has improved quite a lot over the last year or so.
I was on the point of cancelling Farmers Weekly last year, but I think it has got better also - particularly the business/current affairs section. Too much self- congratory awards coverage, but I ignore that. It is fairly expensive, but it’s a business expense, and I take the view that one or two useful articles a year can pay for the subscription

I might have another look then…when I packed up a couple years ago I didn’t even see the used reviews (which used to be great) and as you say mostly livestock and political/international stuff.

can’t believe anyone reads farmers guide ? it’s unsolicited junk mail imo - cover to cover adverts and advertorial, not a word in there that’s not paid for

doesn’t even get taken out the wrapper here
I think most people use it for the small ads, we use it in parallel with TFF Classifieds and get a lot of responses the day the magazine comes out. Also useful for auction sale adverts and sale reports.

This. Some of the lesser known auctioneers advertise in it and lots of genuine used ads for those of us who can’t afford/justify new prices

Pictures, but with captions underneath saying what the picture is about.
Find Direct Driller is bad for this, they put a pic of a drill or crop or whatever but don`t put a caption under telling you what it is
