Replacement 5 furrow lightweight plough

Wanting to replace our plough, currently running a Dowdeswell DP8B five furrow plough

tractor is John Deere 4 cylinder 130 hp, it handles the plough perfectly

ploughing at 14 inch furrow width which I like. It will be secondhand and not new.

all I can find are four furrow options as they look heavy enough to lift but I’d be a furrow short which does add up over a field.

if I can’t find a suitable replacement then I’ll have to change to four but has anyone got or had a lightweight plough
make is open to suggestions

You’ve got to go for a KV LS95!
Sliced bread doesn’t even enter the equation!

An overum with shearbolt legs would be a good upgrade from a dp8 , bit heavier granted, but with xl bodies you will be pleased if currently using ucn or ....ycn ( which being similar too but allowing a bit tyre wider in )....

The tractor will pull and handle it fine appropriately ballasted.

Dowdeswell MA100 will be fine on that tractor in 5 furrow format.

not expensive to buy and fairly robust as well

we used to pull and lift ours happily with a NH 7840 just needed plenty weight up front

we had a 4 furrow long clearance auto reset one, it was bloody heavy and never worked particularily well.

I've just got a rabe raven 2300 5 furrow and my maxxum 130 masters that ok, it's on 17 inch work at the moment too.
Lemken europal 7 would be my ultimate choice but they're like rocking horse poo second hand.
