Those of you that have or are restoring tractors, what do you do when you have finished it?
I get the impression that finishing it can be a bit of an anticlimax

Have you a good workshop? You could start with some thing small, say a classic 3cyl DB?Those of you that have or are restoring tractors, what do you do when you have finished it?

I know somebody here in Suffolk that has some D/B to sell , not sure where you are so might be to far awayDo you know of one?
Its been here for 18 years now ,gets anything it needs at this time of year ready to go its only doing our own 200 acres per season now IL leave the contracting to the big boys.Thats a clean little jaguar.
Its difficult to say some years if it needs knifes or a sheer bar it is expensive ,this year feed roll bump stops a belt and pick up reel cam rollers + a sharpening stone. It the flexibility to go when I want that justifies its existence.Whats the average annual upkeep on that with doing 200 acres
Customer of ours sent his claas harvester for a dealer service/checkup and first day out she ate herself and hadnt lifted a stone or anything. Dealer wouldnt stand any of it and it ended in a 80k insurance bill and shes needed a new accelerator each year since. Same thing happened with 3 other harvesters the dealer had gone through within couple of weeks outIts difficult to say some years if it needs knifes or a sheer bar it is expensive ,this year feed roll bump stops a belt and pick up reel cam rollers + a sharpening stone. There is a really low houred one not far from me, largely unloved for some reason.Do you know of one?
Why would it be unloved? There is a really low houred one not far from me, largely unloved for some reason.
I think the folk on that farm are not keen on the DB quirky attributes but a golden opportunity for a keen member of staff to while away a few winter evening hours. Why would it be unloved?
