Ringworm

Have some in calf heifers that I was hoping to sell at the mart. They have got some ring worm round their heads. Is there a quick cure to get rid of it? Want them away in 2 weeks before they calf.

A spray over (knapsack sprayer & penned up tight) with Imaverol is as quick & effective as anything, but not in a fortnight. If you cure/kill it tomorrow, the hair won't have grown back for several months.

yes has to be male holly

Yes, we had it hanging in the youngstock sheds for several years, on senior management's insistence. It cleared any ringworm up in about the same time as they'd have got over it if left on their own. ;) Never stopped them getting it though.

As posted above, Immaverol always worked very quickly for us. Pen them up tight'ish and walk through with a knapsack sprayer making sure they are dowsed to the point of run off.
