RTK issues

I've been having issues with the RTK setup in my tractor but it seems to be getting worse, just wondering if anyone has any ideas.

The setup is standard NH steer ready tractor, Ag372 Antenna, Telonica modem delivering the Ntrip correction data into port C (setup as a radio rtk). O2 simcard unlimited data. The modem has its own gps and mobile antenna.

It randomly looses DGPS even in the middle of the field with a clear sky, some farms are better than others and some times of the day can be worse. Recently its been bad around lunch time early afternoon.

If I change to Egnos is gets DGPS straight away so I'm assuming my Antenna is working and setup ok

My phone is O2 and has good signal most of the time when its dropping out.

Today I was watching the age of RTK it was never over a couple of seconds even with no DGPS

I've started wondering if the issue is with the modem gps patch antenna, if I go under a tree it looses RTK instantly, ever X-Fill wont work. However if I go under the tree running Egnos its usually fine.

Whether it is linked im not sure but our gps was not good earlier this year, I was advised that solar flairs were causing problems for a lot of people.

We've not had any signal issues on the tractors running RTX, they were unusable on Egnos though, couldn't keep on the line, drift was horrendous over a field length and missed bits as your turned around. RTX has sorted that out.

Who's your provider, and does it show the distance to the base it's using? Are you using a virtual mount point, or a real one?

One day last week my DGPS went haywire. Day before it had been perfectly straight. Euro fighters or something were dog fighting overhead. I wondered if they emit some kind of jamming signal. I tried to follow a straight AB line. The result was wavy. I tried again back up the same line and it was symetrically wavy like a mirror of the first attempt. Very strange. Wished I’d taken a photo. I’m sure there was a DGPS problem last week here. Pretty sure it wasn’t a fault with my equipment as it’s working fine again now.

It's Vector RTK, I'm pretty sure it's a virtual mount point on the home farm, I was working about 10 miles away at this time.

I got rained off yesterday but I got back this afternoon and I didn't have any DGPS drop outs, even under trees.

Weirdly and not for the first time the AB line jumped a few feet and the tractor went full lock chasing it, a few bouts later it returned to the original position.

And another thing I noticed, all yesterday the X-Fill status box was empty whereas today it was 'Ready'
