The French offered the UK government the opportunity to build and man immigration and asylum offices in France. This would allow them to sort out between migrants with family in the United Kingdom who could be quickly processed and others needing detailed investigations. The offer wasn't taken up by Johnson.
Hilarious. So we have to spend money in France doing what the French should be doing in the first place.

I think we would do the same (ie very little) if the situ was reversed with the French.

What we need is Navy frogpeople with Stanley knives hidden 30metres off the French coast..
Or we could just, you know, treat them like human beings. Personally, I wouldn’t do that to animals, far less desperate and vulnerable people, but you may differ in that regard.

Desperate ? Spending £3000 each to get months of stay in 4 star hotels, not having to work, free meals eating at restaurants (Where I can't afford either) and benefits & housing for life ? I can't get that and I doubt most of the 66 million other people in the UK can get it.
