Scanned the March lambing ewes this morning.

70 pedigree Charollais ewes: 9 empty, 12 singles, 34 twins, 14 triplets and a quad (180%)
21 pedigree Charollais ewe lambs: 6 empty, 2 singles, 11 twins, 2 triplets (143%)
38 Highlander ET recipient ewes: 74 embryos implanted, 65 held (87% conception rate(y)).

Too many empties, and too many lean ewe lambs carrying more than 1, otherwise happy enough. Very pleased with ET conception rate.:)

Do you find you get more empty with the pure ewes than commercials? We always seem to get a slightly higher % geld in our pedigrees as apposed to commercial first x ewes.

Definitely, despite generally far lower ram:ewe ratios. Lack of hybrid vigour perhaps?:scratchhead:
A coupe of those empties were ET donors though, so had been 'messed with' at the beginning of October, and another hadn't lambed last year but was given another go because she was a real corker. If she'd have been in eth commercial flock, she wouldn't have been here to mess up again. Of course, she looks even better now.....:stop:

My results for 61 ewes, mainly Lleyn:
0 1
1 13
2 44
3 3
180%
22 of them are Hogget ewes, overall I am happy with the results, better than last year which was similar percentage but more 3s and empties.

Lleyns x nz texel shearlings first time to the tup.
0=5
1=57
2=132
3=6
170% bit disappointed really just hope it's because it was there first time all to lleyn tups. In really good condition too maybe too good?!

Feb mules scanned at 185%.
Ewe lambs scanned at 107%.

Scanning today was abit up and down. Few pedigree beltex wernt too bad apart from the geld ones. Chev Mules ewes have done very well. Hoggs were bordering on a dissaster but cant complain at the swales.

1- 50
2- 154
3- 57
4- 2 = 199%
87 ewe lambs

Fairly happy except a few to many empty ewe lambs but they weren't in as good condition as last year.
